Walker Rainey | Dallas Children Photographer

A lot of you might remember Walker. He is the brave little boy that I have photographed last year. He was diagnosed with malignant Rhabdoid Tumor on September 11, 2009. I photographed him shortly after he was diagnosed and due to the enormous amounts of emails from people that saw his pictures and before that, Kate McRae’s picture that Tiny Sparrow Foundation was born. A foundation dedicated to providing lasting memories through the beautiful art of photography to the families with children who are facing life threatening illnesses. He sure is an inspiration to me and to so many other people

I got to photograph Walker again a couple of weeks ago. Walker just finished all his chemo treatments and after a long and hard year of treatment his scans came back with very positive news and that is that the tumor is completely gone. You can read more of his story on his Caring Bridge site. Walker’s hair is starting to come in and along with the hair all those cute smiles and amazing personality are starting to shine through. We had an amazing evening with Walker and as you can see from most of the pictures he had this specific face he was making not sure if that was a sign that he like me or that he really wished I would go away and not take his pictures anymore :) .

The favorite part of the evening was Walker in his daddy’s arms going up, up, up all the way to the sky. He loved, loved to be have his daddy throw him up in the air and just wanted more and more. I am so blessed to be able to see this little miracle go through all the chemo with so very little side effects and now with everything behind to start being the little busy boy he likes to be. Thank you Missy and Chad for a wonderful afternoon. Enjoy the pictures!

Happy Mother’s Day!!! | Dallas children photographer

What more says Happy Mother’s Day than a big field of beautiful wild flowers that we are so lucky to have here in the Dallas area. To all the moms out there I hope you have a beautiful and happy mother’s day. The world would not be the same without the love and care that each one of you is showing day in and day out to your family. Happy Mother’s Day!

Roughin’ it out | Dallas Fort Worth family photographer

Wow what a great time we had on this session.. There are way too many pictures that are my absolute favorites. I had a little camping theme going on but the kids were much, much more entertained by a little tiny ladybug we found in the field. I love the pictures where they are all so, so entertained with the ladybug. These pictures are a true reflection of the carefree days of childhood. As grown ups, we forget the little things that made us smile in our childhood days, so I love to bring back through my pictures a little of the lost child that still exists in each one of us.

Belly painting | Dallas Fort Worth Maternity Photographer

I had a slight variation in mind for this session when Andreea approached me and told me she wanted maternity pictures and wanted her family to be included also. Her kids love to paint so I thought it would be sooo fun at the end of our photo shoot to create some art on her belly. Well that’s what happens when you go shopping for paint at Target and you have a huge selection of paint. I bought the wrong kind of paint that was apparently finger paint and it was very sheer and it would not show up on her belly. We found a fix to that and had the kids draw hearts and then put their hand prints on her white tank top. It turned out even better than we planned as now Andreea gets to keep and maybe frame the tank top next to one of these fabulous pictures. What a treasure for any mom to have for when her children are all grown up.
Thank you Andreea for a terrific time I had with your family. Can hardly wait to meet the precious little girl!

Presley aka P’nut | Dallas Fort Worth family photographer

This sweet family came all the way from Fort Worth to Frisco to have little P’nut’s one year old pictures taken. I think the long drive was sooo worth it as sweet little Presley is not walking or standing yet but she did it the FIRST time when we were taking pictures and WOW what a great, great time to have a professional photographer record that moment. She stood up all by herself for the VERY VERY first time.

The picture of her trying to pull her hat off is where she stood up all by herself. And what better way to celebrate her first time standing up than wearing the Johnny Cash outfit showing her family’s big passion for country music. Jessy and Zack are Presley’s cousins and oh so very found of the little lady in their family…

Happy Birthday Landon!!!!! | Prosper Child Photographer

Landon is 1 year old.. (in just a few short days). Give me a camera and the sweetest little 1 year old boy out there and I can stay and take pictures forever.. I love this age. I could fill up my blog pretty quick with all the pictures of beautiful Landon and his parents.
Landon had his fist cupcake and I got to photograph the big event. By the look on his face you’ll have to agree with me: he sure liked it. But even more then the cupcake Landon was very fond of the balloons we intended to use for the session.. Too bad the wind was not on our side and the balloons would go all over the place the minute we tried to use them.. But I did manage to capture one picture with Landon’s latest favorite discovery.
Thank you so much Michelle and James for a wonderful, wonderful afternoon. Thank you for allowing me to capture your family’s joy, happiness and love. It was such a pleasure photographing Landon.. Happiest little 1 year old ever… Enjoy the little preview!!!

Tea Party I Dallas Children Photographer

On a day like today when it’s the second day of spring and here in Dallas we have quite a few inches of snow, I wanted warm everybody’s hearts and souls with these images full of sun shine, color, joy and pure childhood fun. As ironically as it may seem we took these pictures exactly one week ago. Only in Texas the weather can change it’s mind so much from one day to another :)

As hard as it is to pick the favorite session ever or the favorite picture ever I think this is one of my all time favorites. Me and Jael put a lot of thought and got our creativity to work to create a fun tea party fit for two of the most adorable princesses out there and of course the prince had to be present too… I think after all the hibernation of this long winter here in the Dallas area we just wanted to go out there and celebrate the beginning of spring and I think kids were as excited to celebrate together with us..

From lemons, to limes, to the tea set, to the daffodils out in the fields, to the most amazing outfits the mom picked for this kids and also to the awesome weather we could have not asked for a most perfect session…

Spring is coming I can promise you that :) . If you are interested for a fresh, fun, unique session with Oh So Posh Photography please contact us @ ohsoposhphoto@gmail.com

Christmas Finale {Flower Mound/Dallas child photographer}

And with this session I am saying good bye to an amazing year creating so many amazing, timeless and priceless memories that your families will be able to cherish for years to come. Unfortunately, I am not taking any more appointments for this year.. I got a lot of inquiries for sessions for Christmas pictures but the time is just too short to turn those pictures in for Christmas.. I have started booking for the Spring or 2010 and a lot of the weekend are already booked.. If you are interested in getting pictures with the beautiful blue bonnets and also so many other kind of flowers that we have here in the Spring please contact me in advance. My prices will go up at the beginning of the year so if you book till the end of December all the prices for prints and session are still gonna be locked at the old pricing..

In the next few weeks I will be working for Tiny Sparrow Foundation mostly.. and that is taking pictures of kids battling cancer or any other life threatening condition. I will be going to Wichita Falls to take pictures of a 2 year old little brave guy battling an aggressive form of cancer and then this week I will be photographing a little 18 month old little girl close by that has been battling leukemia and now has relapsed. If you know any families that have similar stories please contact me and I will try to make it happen so that their family will have somebody take professional pictures of their child. That’s what Tiny Sparrow Foundation was established for and we would be more than happy to help with that..

So back to my last session.. I realized that I need to brush on my sporting skills after this session :) .. All the kids were very into sports.. telling me all about the Dallas Cowboys, names and teams they were fans of that to my shame I really did not know much about.. Miley (hope the spelling is right).. the little family dog was so so cute.. OMG I should have taken a picture of her begging for attention while we were taking pictures :) .. Thank you guys for the fun Saturday morning…

Blue bonnet {Arlington/Fort Worth children photographer}

Blue bonnet season is here?? Not really.. we still have quite a few months till then but in the mean time.. OMG I could have taken pictures for an entire week of little Zoe and her little bonnet.. I so love that bonnet.. And of course look at Zoe’s eyes to match that bonnet.. Zoe’s two older brothers were as boy as they come but also as gorgeous as they come..
Little did I know that the little things on the ground I have been seeing at this particular location are pecans so in between photo takes we had

Lots of treats did the trick {Addison/Dallas child photographer}

Yes it was Halloween all over today. A few fun treats did the trick to get these amazing pictures of little Sarah and big brother Ethan.. I had such and amazing time going back in time when my daughter was 2 and started talking.. Sarah turned two not too long ago and was telling me all about “cocodials” :) .. Ethan is such a handsome boy and so willing to help me carry my props to the car.. Grammy and Mom thank you for tonight.. I could have not done it without you. Enjoy your precious little ones..
