Here are a few pictures from our short but amazing 4 days get away to a beautiful lake house. I have to be honest that I was not too excited going out of town as I had so many things to do. As we got closer and closer to the lake house the scenery was changing more and more, leaving the noise of busy Dallas and embarking on the quietness of a a small town by the lake. Here are a few (well a lot
) of the pictures that I took trying to capture the beauty of the lake house as well as the lake. I came back home refreshed and ready to face the next few months of the busy Christmas season coming up.

I love her I Dallas Child Photographer
It’s been a while since I posted any pictures of my beautiful Isadora. Here are a few snap shots where Isadora is posing for me. She has gotten so good at posing and now all I have to do is call her name and when she turns around she has the most beautiful smile… ready to be photographed over and over again. I sure love her so much. Can hardly believe she is 5 already!!!
A little update on my actions!!! I am working as hard as I can to release my new set of actions this August. It looks like they will be released towards the end of July! I am taking the time to make sure that I incorporate a few options on how to get those golden tones in your pictures. Keep updated for their release!!! Hope everybody is enjoying their summer!!!

Happy Easter 2010 | Dallas Fort Worth child photographer
Hard to believe that Easter is here. We had a nice little Easter egg hunt this past Sunday in our Dominion at Panther Creek neighborhood here in Frisco. And as a personal New Year resolution I got my camera and out I went with my family to do a little egg hunt.. I am way behind taking pictures of my daughter so my New Year resolution was not only to take pictures but also to edit them, blog them and of course maybe order prints here and there. So here is a little preview of the the fun that goes along with an Easter egg hunt.

Behind the scenes | Dallas child photographer
In an attempt to answer the many emails I get from other photographers and also to encourage everybody out there that has a pretty decent camera but always has wondered why their images are not so full of color, so sharp, so professional looking, I kept meaning to do a before and after picture.. My goal was from every session to pick a picture and to do a before and after of one of the pictures in the session but the work overload took over me so I did not keep my promise..
Here is an images as it comes out of the camera and if you are a professional photographer and you shoot in RAW you know that the images coming out from the camera have a very graysh, bluish tint to them, they are not very sharp at all and the color is just dull. Raw files are so named because they are not yet processed and therefore are not ready to be printed.
Raw images are sometimes called digital negatives, as they fulfill the same role as negatives in film photography. I get asked many times to just take a picture but not process it as processing takes a very long time. If you think back in the film era the negative file was not usable as an image but had all the information to create the end image. It is the same with the RAW files. RAW files contain all the important information to create the beautiful end result you see bellow.
So it our job as professional photographers, to take those Raw files and with our creativity, style and endless hours behind the computer, transform them into fine art portraits…

Salon Lucien is Open I Dallas hair salon photographer
As an artist I always love a challenge where my creativity is put to test. I was super excited when Nikki from Salon Lucien called and asked me to photograph their amazing, chic and very unique salon. Of course the biggest delight in photographing the salon were the two enormous white tulip bouquets that were part of the decor that day. White tulips are my utmost favorite flowers and I could not contain my excitement when I saw decor. I think Nikki secretly knew my passion for white tulips
..
For those of you that have not heard about Salon Lucien… well you are missing out.. Salon Lucien specializes in hair color and is located at 8411 Preston Rd Suite 102, Dallas Tx 75225. (It is next door to the Preston Center Starbuck, the front door is accessible from Kate Street)
Salon Lucien has complimentary Valet Parking for you as well. So, don’t mess with the parking lots outside just let them take care of that for you. They will have your car ready for you when you are finished with your visit.
Salon Lucien carries Kerastase Products (yay!!!), Kevin Murphy, Moroccan Oil, Mason Pearson brushes and several other products.. Kevin Murphy’s line is an Australian line that is completely Vegan and very Eco-friendly.
Call them and schedule an appointment and you will not be disappointed with their service, customer service and quality of their work.. And of course I will let the pictures tell the story of how exquisite, fresh and luxurious the decor and architecture of Salon Lucien is.
Wishing you all a Merry and White Christmas

Pray for Kate McRae
I am not even sure I can find the words for this blog… Little Kate… She is 5 years old battling brain cancer… Please read her story and leave a word of encouragement for her family here .. Pray for Kate
Kate lives in Phoenix, Arizona and I came across her story from a blog of another photographer. Myself being a cancer survivor her story touched my heart and I wanted to somehow share my gift of photography with Kate’s family. I flew to Arizona this past weekend to be able to capture some memories of Kate. It just so happened that the same day I flew in Kate and her family got a new addition to the family: Patrick.. the cutest little puppy.. I feel sooo blessed that I was able to be there to capture their first reaction when the puppy first came into their home…
Below are just a few pictures of Kate, her sister Olivia and her brother Will.. I had an amazing time with the kids and now I have a new name… Picture lady
… The kids called me that cause I probably had the camera in my hands 90% of the time I was with them. I just did not want to miss anything.
Holly and Aaron thank you so much for opening your home so I can capture a glimpse of what an amazing family you guys have.. And Stephanie.. you are such a blessing for Holly and a big thank you for helping me out with my heavy equipment
..
Hugs to all of you…

you are my sunshine {plano/mckinney child photographer}
After more than a week of rain the sun is finally up.. Had to go today and see how much damage the rain has done to the fields.. As it turns out, our fields were in much need of the rain and they are not muddy at all but rather the rain helped the grass stay greener just a wee tiny more… So excited to have options and to be able to do some pictures with lots of greenery.
I have a few more openings for the Christmas mini sessions if you are still interested contact me..
