Here are a few beautiful pictures from our photo shoot last week documenting an important milestone in Cole’s life; He is one now. Such a fun age and such a busy age too. He was running so fast I could barely catch up with him. It’s amazing how much he changed in just a few months. Last time I saw him he was sitting nicely in a giant tea cup now he was a busy explorer boy. He was such a trooper as with the triple digits temperature here in Dallas last week he really did amazing. Thank you mom and dad for giving me the opportunity to provide you with this incredible memories of sweet Cole, memories that you will have for a lifetime. Now that my daughter started kindergarten I look back in time and I just wish I had more pictures of her when she was one, or two and all those other little milestones.

Cousins | Dallas children photographer
We were lucky enough to venture for a little phototoshoot before this triple digits heat wave hit Dallas. It was still hot but in the shade it was not that bad.
Here is a little preview of miss Peyton and her cousins that drove all the way from Oklahoma. Look at the beautiful colors of their outfits. I love how they are not the same but how they go together so well. Just a little clothing inspiration.
6 Months Giggles and Smiles | Dallas Child Photographer
Most of my 6 moth old babies don’t know what to quite think of me and I have a hard time to make them smile sometimes as they are so inquisitive about their new environment and the lady with the big camera starring at them
. Well not this little guy… He was sooo full of expressions and smiles and I could not get enough of his big blue eyes. And no I did not retouched his eyes.. the light in my little studio was great that morning, just enough to make his beautiful eyes stand out. Thank you for a wonderful morning spend with me guys. It was sure fun!!!
Hunter and Season | Plano children photographer
Hunter and Season two beautiful names for two gorgeous little kids. The sun has been kind of shy for the past few weeks around here something not very typical of Dallas, but we were really lucky this afternoon and we started with a very cloudy day and the sun graced us with its appearance for about 15 minutes. The first picture shows the cloudy day on one side and the ray of sunshine coming through on the other side. I love, love, love that. Very rarely do I get to have the fun blue sky in the pictures. A great fun session with lots of color and lots of textures that I absolutely love. And wow that bike really stole the show I could have stayed there and photograph the kids on the bike all day long. I am not sure Season would have been too happy
. Love the picture of her crying had to throw that one is: a great picture of what two year olds are really like
.
Thank you for being such great sports mom and dad.. We made a great team!

She turned 5 | Dallas Children Photographer
So here we go about 2 weeks later I am finally getting the time to blog a few pictures from my daughter’s party. She is now a big girl, she turned 5. Time sure flies by. So why so late with this blog? Well on top of having at least 100 things on my to do list at any minute of the day, I somehow managed to shoot over the pictures from Isadora’s party thus loosing all the files.. OUCH!! I heard so many stories about so many other photographers doing that and now it happened to me.
But magic happened and I have the files now I just have to edit them. How did I get the files and how do I edit those indoor shots and get rid of the tungsten light cast? I will address those issues once I put the full post with all the pictures from the birthday party event. Please be sure to check back!
We also raised $250 at Isadora’s birthday party as we asked for donations to the Tiny Sparrow Foundation in lieu of gifts, idea inspired by the amazing Share the love event. With the money raised Isadora will be able to sponsor one of the albums for one of the Tiny Sparrow kids.
Walker Rainey | Dallas Children Photographer
A lot of you might remember Walker. He is the brave little boy that I have photographed last year. He was diagnosed with malignant Rhabdoid Tumor on September 11, 2009. I photographed him shortly after he was diagnosed and due to the enormous amounts of emails from people that saw his pictures and before that, Kate McRae’s picture that Tiny Sparrow Foundation was born. A foundation dedicated to providing lasting memories through the beautiful art of photography to the families with children who are facing life threatening illnesses. He sure is an inspiration to me and to so many other people
I got to photograph Walker again a couple of weeks ago. Walker just finished all his chemo treatments and after a long and hard year of treatment his scans came back with very positive news and that is that the tumor is completely gone. You can read more of his story on his Caring Bridge site. Walker’s hair is starting to come in and along with the hair all those cute smiles and amazing personality are starting to shine through. We had an amazing evening with Walker and as you can see from most of the pictures he had this specific face he was making not sure if that was a sign that he like me or that he really wished I would go away and not take his pictures anymore
.
The favorite part of the evening was Walker in his daddy’s arms going up, up, up all the way to the sky. He loved, loved to be have his daddy throw him up in the air and just wanted more and more. I am so blessed to be able to see this little miracle go through all the chemo with so very little side effects and now with everything behind to start being the little busy boy he likes to be. Thank you Missy and Chad for a wonderful afternoon. Enjoy the pictures!
Got hair? | Plano children photographer
Every session is like a box of chocolate… you never know how much cuter the kids will get from one session to the other
. First I saw Alex and I could not get over how cute his hair was. The most amazing platinum hair color I have ever seen and secretly wishing I could pull that off . And then I saw Alisa and her head full of hair and I think I will stop at just saying that and have you look at the pictures to see the rest. Such a cute personality to really go with that hair. OMG wish we had more time she was soo cute and such a happy baby.
Alex was really hoping we find a bunny rabbit and I was so bummed that on most of our sessions we see little rabbits but this time the rabbits decided to hide. Next time I am hoping for some bunny rabbits so I can keep my promises to Alex
. Thank you mom for doing such an amazing job on dressing the kids. They are so cute and of course stylish. Enjoy the little preview.
Sisters | Dallas children photographer
Here are a little preview of our lemonade stand session. As much as I wanted to to a lot of pictures with the lemonade stand I always have to go with what the children have in mind. These gorgeous little sisters loved the idea of the lemonade stand but only to drink it not to take pictures around it. So we had to get some other magic tricks up and going where I could really focus on their amazing eyes and get some pictures to show that. And yes those eyes are very much real in all of the pictures!!! And the hair and and of course their outfit, all I can say thank you mom for doing an amazing job on getting the girls ready for the photoshoot… Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Sibling love | Dallas children photographer
With my daughter’s birthday party this past week I am very, very behind with my work and the first thing that gets neglected is my blog. Here I am now trying to catch up with everything and here is one of the sessions I did last week of this gorgeous brother and sister and their mom. Libby and Spencer stunned me the minute I saw them get out of the car and when I looked into their eyes I knew instantly that the pictures will turn out great. A beautiful afternoon with a beautiful family and here is the end result. Enjoy this little preview guys.
