A bit of a late notice but after many emails if I will host another Matilda Jane Trunk Show this fall, I have decided to have another fabulous Matilda Jane party.

Here is a little preview of the glamorous boutique True Rumors. True Rumors is the chic boutique located in Adriatica at Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney. Their featured designers include True Religion, Isabella Fiore, Bejeweled, A.G., Yoana Baraschi, Nicole Miller, and Juicy Couture. Their beautiful store features a permanent runway and hosts a number of fashion and trunk shows a year and this fall they will host the Pictures of hope/Fashion show event benefiting Tiny Sparrow Foundation.

We will have lots of amazing items you can bid on as well as 3 raffle items that we will be pre selling the tickets for at the beginning of September.

Most of you following my blog have heard about the wonderful foundation, Tiny Sparrow , that I started last year. If you don’t know about it, I would like to take this opportunity to share what my career in photography has led me to do. Tiny Sparrow foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing lasting memories through the art of photography to families with children who are facing life-threatening illnesses. Our mission is to provide families with these memories by giving them a beautiful album and a CD of all of the edited images from a personal photo session. More importantly, these gifts provide love, joy and everlasting memories to each of these families for a lifetime.

As you can imagine the cost to put together such a foundation are not small and in order to help families across the US and internationally we are in need of your support.

On September 30th 2010 we are organizing an amazing event at one of our local boutiques where we will have a lot of great items you can bid on and two or 3 raffle items. I will try to update my blog from now till then with some of the items that we will be auctioning that day. The event is open to anybody so please feel free to stop by. Today I am featuring the Gaige House in California. They have graciously donated a 2 night stay at this luxurious and peaceful resort.

As a lot of you know I have started a wonderful foundation dedicated to providing lasting memories for children with life threatening illnesses. As a breast cancer survivor I wanted to give back and what a greater way to give back then through the great passion that I have for photography. The goal of Tiny Sparrow Foundation is to create a network of photographers across the country and internationally, that will be able to donate free sessions for these children. Every family that we photograph will receive a beautiful 10×10 coffee table album with images from their session, images of hope, of courage, images that they will be able to keep dear to their hearts for years to come.

The costs associated with growing such an amazing foundations are not small but with your support I know we can help a lot of families. Please mark your calendars for an amazing event supporting Tiny Sparrow with lots of great raffle prizes and silent auction items. I will have another post with some of the items we are raffling and yes you can be out of state and still purchase a raffle ticket and a chance to win something.

Mark your calendars for a very inspiring and amazing series event hosted by The Creative Mama . I am honored and humbled to be one of the photographers that will be featured in for this event, representing Tiny Sparrow Foundation. I will talk a little bit about myself, my own battle with cancer and how that inspired me to help children fighting the same battle, through the beautiful art of photography. Here is a bit of information about TCM and the series:

TCM was founded in January of 2009 and is made up of a team of 7 authors including Stacey Woods, Marta Locklear, Tracey Clark, Jessica Cudzilo, Michele Anderson, and more. The Photography series will include interviews and features from some amazing artists (this year’s line up so far: Deb Schwedhelm, Jose Villa, Florabella Boutique, Brenda Acuncius, Leigh Taylor, the girls of Luxecetera, and more).

Salon Lucien, located in Dallas, had their grand opening party this past week. The atmosphere in the salon is very unique, exquisite and glamorous, nothing like I have ever experienced before. My heart skips a few beats every time I walk in there. The smallest little details; fresh flowers, ice chilled cucumber water, fresh bottled perrier sparking water are just a few things that you can notice right as you enter the door and all those details work wonderfully to create the most amazing and warm atmosphere. Be sure to check out this fabulous salon and you are guaranteed to be coming again and again. Ladies if you need a place to get pampered, Salon Lucien is the place for you. Oh and did I mention the most delicious food they had at their Grand Opening Party?? Well, the pictures will do a lot of the talk so here is a little preview.

Due to the popularity of the mini sessions and because some people were not able to make it on the 24th to the Dallas Arboretum I opened up another date for mini sessions that is already full but the great news is that two spots have opened up for this Sunday. As an artist I always love a challenge where my creativity is put to test. I was super excited when Nikki from Salon Lucien called and asked me to photograph their amazing, chic and very unique salon. Of course the biggest delight in photographing the salon were the two enormous white tulip bouquets that were part of the decor that day. White tulips are my utmost favorite flowers and I could not contain my excitement when I saw decor. I think Nikki secretly knew my passion for white tulips ..
