Me and Makenzie ventured out for a fun photoshoot tonight.. Well it was fun for me and Makenzie most of the time.. We went to this really cool, old looking house and no matter how many sweet things I said about the house, Makenzie would not buy it and she was soooo scared.. Well, it’s hard to see in the pictures cause she is sooo gorgeous and has such a sweet smile with the biggest brown eyes ever… We did stay there for a bit, could not even consider getting close to the house but still managed to get some gorgeous pictures … Thank you Becca and Makenzie…. The minute I saw Kena’s eyes I just knew I had to take her picture. She is so beautiful with her amazing auburn hair, the little fine yet detailed little freckles resting on her nose, the fairest complexion with just a nice tint of rosiness for extra cuteness… oh and did I mention that when she talks you just melt away.. Her voice is just the sweetest… I am soo happy I was able to take her pictures.. She was quite the model for me and was sooo willing to go along with all my idea.. Kena you rock, girl… Thank you Kena, thank you Keely..

I know, I know, it’s more like LOVE, PEACE and JOY but I was inspired by the big polka dot blanket a client of mine let me borrow (thank you Amy) as a backdrop for a few pictures so my motto for this year is LOVE, PEACE and POLKA DOTS. Everybody loves polka dots (or at least I so hope) and a good sale.

Peace, Love and Polka Dots

Yes we had a bit of everything.. Hot weather, full sun with NOOOOO clouds in sight (well at least for a while) a little one year old not too happy to have her pictures taken in the middle of the summer, an amazing big sister that was soo easy to photograph and two amazing and patient parents that were such troopers that stuck out with me in the hot weather we had today..

The whole day today we had an overcast sky and I was getting excited that it won’t be too hot for the pictures but my excitement did not last long.. Once in the field, we had FULL sun, not a single cloud in the sky.. Well just a few but way to far from the sun where it would provide some shade..

Little Evan was not happy about the weather either and for a while I thought we might have to reschedule her pictures but she warmed up to me and my oh my did we get some amazing pictures.. Thank you Chelle and Ryan you were so patient and willing to go along with my ideas.. And of course to the big sister Kaelin, a big thank you for letting me put all those funny hats and scarfs on her head .. I had lots of fun.. Enjoy the pictures…

I first planned for this maternity session to be at a nice, clean park here around Frisco. Driving around I am always on the look out for new, fun, interesting locations.. so I spotted this little place on my way from the doctor’s office and I knew instantly that I wanted to take Carla’s pictures here.. Easier said than done because not everybody likes to walk in tall grass in the middle of a hot, humid Texas summer day.. Well, as I said before I have the coolest neighbors ever and Carla and Steve, even though a bit skeptical about my pick for the session, were willing to go along with my ideas; and Oh my I so hope they don’t regret it… Look at these AMAZING pictures.. Thank you so much Carla, Steve and Anthony…

Talk about a little determined girl… Little B was just 5 days old but she was pretty set that she will do everything on her own terms… No matter how hard we tried to get her to be sleepy she just wanted to be alert and soak in her new surroundings instead.. I don’t blame her; there are sooo many new things all of a sudden outside momy’s belly to enjoy… She did crash finally… and we got some amazing pictures… She is sooo beautiful… Thank you Ronda and grandma for the patience.. Enjoy your little princess.

The vision on my indoor studio is coming together and I so excited to be able to take pictures of newborns indoors too.. Here is a little sneak peak.. And of course it sooo helps when I have the most adorable little kids to photograph… Thank you Amy…
